Chapter One

The Vessel

The historic steel vessel TC Grace moored alongside before her voyage home

TC Grace is a historic steel vessel built in 1965 as a fast naval patrol and support craft. Built for endurance, strength and long days at sea, she was engineered for reliability above everything else.

Power comes from a single German-built MWM marine diesel engine producing 950 horsepower. Designed for commercial and military service, the engine is renowned for its durability, simplicity and ability to run reliably for thousands of hours in demanding conditions.

Following an extensive restoration completed in 2024, TC Grace begins her next chapter. Leaving Croatia to retrace a route home through the Mediterranean and back to British waters.
