A lifeguard and rescue diver from Germany, Bilal joins TC Grace with STCW certification, Powerboat Level 2 and practical offshore experience. Currently working towards his Yachtmaster, he joined the crew in Bari to build further seamanship experience alongside Luuk and Peter.

From Rescue to the Sea
Bilal brings a strong background in water safety to TC Grace. A qualified lifeguard and rescue diver from Germany, he holds STCW certification and Powerboat Level 2 alongside his rescue diving and lifeguard qualifications.
His previous experience at sea includes working as the sole deckhand aboard a vessel travelling from the south of France to Tunisia. During the passage, Bilal also acted as a translator for the owners in both countries, adding another dimension to his role aboard.

Building Experience
Bilal is currently working towards his Yachtmaster qualification and joined TC Grace after seeing Luuk's search for additional crew online.
Joining the vessel in Bari, Italy, he saw the passage as an opportunity to continue accumulating practical knowledge and sea time while learning from the experience of Luuk and Chief Engineer Peter Krogh Petersen.

Knowledge Goes Both Ways
For Bilal, joining TC Grace isn't simply about gaining experience. He wants to contribute his own knowledge and skills to the crew while learning from those around him.
His aim for the passage is straightforward: gain knowledge, share what he knows, enjoy the adventure and make some good memories along the way.
